While I do not have a .50 BMG rifle to load for at the moment, I decided to test out the RCBS AmmoMaster-2 Press loading my favorite big bore cartridges for the range and of course big midwest whitetails: the .45/70 Government cartridge.
The unique ram priming unit is included with the RCBS AmmoMaster-2 Press. With this system you can prime cartridges with either small or large primers easily.

The ram priming unit is indeed quite unique. The stem is placed in the holder that fits in the shell holder mount. Your pick of small primer or large primer adapter is part of the stem itself when assembled.
Mount your cartridge holding adapter to the top of the press and insert your to be primed cartridge.
Here is a close look at your shell holder with the adapter. Notice how the priming stem will protrude through ready to accept a fresh live primer for insertion into your awaiting brass.

A very cool feature of the RCBS AmmoMaster-2 Press is that during depriming the spent primer falls through the ram itself and out a port in the side. It is then caught by a removable container. RCBS has thought of everything!
The end product is a thing of beauty! The RCBS AmmoMaster-2 Press has so many great features it’s hard to single out the highlights after testing. First off, for mounting there are three bolt holes for a very solid anchor to your loading bench. A non-moving mount keeps everything happy and is just the beginning of the good vibes.
