Tired of wet long guns while afield?

I got a chance to test out the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case to solve that problem.

We have all been there. Wet guns when hunting. This is especially a problem when transporting them by boat or all terrain vehicle in inclement weather. What is needed is a heavy duty waterproof gun case that is part dry bag, and part padded protection for your cherished hunting rifle or shotgun. Lets take a look first at what the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case offers:

  • Waterproof 500D welded PVC material
  • Roll-top closure to ensure a tight seal to keep water out
  • High-density closed-cell flotation foam
  • External compression straps can secure a tripod, or help to tighten the rifle case down to better secure your rifle
  • Accommodate rifles up to 53″ long
  • Accommodates rifle height of 10.5″ from top of scope to lowest point
  • Carry handle and removable, over the shoulder carry strap option
  • D-ring added to the end of the gun case, which allows the case to be hung to dry while not in use

Dimensions 57″ L x 11″ W
Rolled Length 49″ – 53″
Weight 2 lbs. 9 oz.

The new Waterproof Rifle Case was designed to keep rifles clean, undamaged, and in peak operation when carried to and from hunting blinds or while traveling. The case is based on a rugged 500D welded PVC outer shell that is resistant to the typical punctures, abrasions, and environmental harshness typically encountered when hunting. The interior shell is comprised of a high-density, closed-cell flotation foam, with additional protection offered by a padded liner. Sealing the gun case from water intrusion is a buckled roll-top similar to those used for expedition-grade dry bags.

To facilitate transport, the Waterproof Rifle Case comes with an integrated carry handle and a removable and adjustable padded shoulder strap.

The Waterproof Rifle case accommodates rifles up to 53 inches long. The total length is 57 inches unrolled; 53 inches when rolled 3 times; 49 inches when rolled 5 times.

I received the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case during some of the worst weather Northern Ohio has seen in many winters. Blizzards, extremely low temperatures and lots of moisture afield can wreak havoc on your rifle or shotgun.

First off, the roll top dry bag type closure is fast and easy to use with two adjustable web cinch straps to keep everything closed and sealed from the outside environment.

The removable heavy duty shoulder strap is adjustable and quite comfortable.

In the nasty winter wilds the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case is tough and ready to shed anything nature can throw at it.

Here is an image of the unrolled open end of the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case. Insert gun and carry on!

The sealed end is very heavy duty. I am very impressed with just how well built the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case really is!

Just because you are cold and wet doesn’t mean your gun has to be too!

While during this winter’s deep freeze a full field submersion test was not possible the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case sealed out all snow, slush and moisture when used afield. It certainly is built tough and each grommet and strap is purposely placed with thought for the uses afield. There is even a small repair kit if you do indeed puncture or tear the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case. They thought of everything!

The previously reviewed Bear Creek Arsenal BC-202 .22 Magnum Rifle shows just how much room the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case really has for even a scope sighted rifle. Impressive!

In summary I found the Alps Outdoorz Waterproof Rifle Gun Case to be a great investment in firearm care when in rough conditions. You invested a lot in your hunting arms, better take care of them at home and afield.
