I got a chance to test out the new Piscifun Carbon X III 2000 fishing reel and this is what I discovered.
As a seasoned fisherman, I have tried a lot of tackle, especially fishing reels. My favorite style of fishing is hiking into more remote areas and literally fishing out of my pack. This is also the deal when on the water using a kayak. I like to keep all of my gear light. The old saying “ounces become pounds” rings very true. I chose to use Trilene XL Smooth Casting 10 pound test monofilament line.
For my fishing rod I used my old favorite, a tried and true collapsible rod bought from K-Mart so many moons ago. Now it was time to go fishing!
After hitting my favorite farm pond for initial testing, I tied on a jig and let it fly. The cast was extremely smooth and I got a very good distance with it too. The line retrieval also was very smooth and the tension was just right to neatly add the line back to the spool with no loose wraps.
The drag was easily set and was quite positive. Everything worked great on the Piscifun Carbon X III 2000 fishing reel during testing.
