Bad decisions could have fatal consequences.
Hunting for mushrooms behind an active gun range certainly ranks up there near number one.
Witness the mushroom hunt that might as well been in a battlefield.
There are certain things you should never do. Hunting mushrooms behind an active gun range is a no brainer.
In this video shared by YouTuber Marshall Frankel we witness two mushroom hunters that were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They hunker down as rifle (and sounds like fully automatic) fire sounds off close by. You can hear the bullets at times zip through the trees above them. That is a bad place to be and no mushroom is ever worth catching a bullet!
Many questions arise from this video. Why were they there in the first place? Also why are bullets zinging around them through the woods and not caught by a proper backstop? While we may never know these answers it is always a good idea to know where you are going and what’s around you. This is especially the case when live fire is nearby.
