Are you looking for a classic style leather holster that looks like it stepped out of WW2?

This incredible 1791 Gunleather M3 Tanker Holster is certainly a great pick!

If you are a reenactor, a military collector, or just someone who wants to carry their 1911 style handgun comfortably, 1791 Gunleather certainly has a great product for you. Let’s first take a look at what they say about the holster before I start my personal review of it.

Carry a piece of WWII history with our authentic replica of the M3 holster for the M1911. Designed for enthusiasts of US Military classics and Americana, this holster uses a single strap to secure your gun over the shoulder and across the body, keeping the Government 1911 snug under your off-hand arm for an easy crossbody draw. Featuring the iconic “US” embossment, the holster’s adjustable over-the-shoulder strap ensures optimal comfort and fit. With an over-the-back retention strap and original style snap system, your firearm remains secure at all times. Elevate your collection with this perfect blend of historical authenticity and practical design.

Also we should take a look at the “specs” of the 1791 Gunleather M3 Tanker Holster:

This holster fits most 1911 Colt Spec Government-Length 1911’s, including railed Colt M45A1, and box-style 3-Dot sights. Browning Hi-Power / Springfield SA-35.

  • Handcrafted using premium 100% Certified American, Heavy Native Steerhide leather.
  • Reinforced stitching ensuring quality, security, and a lifetime of enjoyment.

I chose a previously reviewed Tisas 1911 handgun that looks also like it came from the time of World War Two. A classic reproduction holster deserves another great vintage style reproduction for the review.

The color I received for the 1791 Gunleather M3 Tanker Holster review is “Stealth Black”. It is quite sharp in appearance and the stitching is both heavy duty and beautifully completed.

The lower button loop clip allows connection to your belt. Notice the attention to detail that has been achieved with this holster.

The thumb strap fits perfectly and there was no need for any holster break in. If break in is needed, instructions show just how easy that can be too.

Ready for adventure! The 1791 Gunleather M3 Tanker Holster is packing a 1911 afield during my chores and adventures in the great outdoors. I was also quite pleased it fits my Ruger MK2 .22/45 Target Pistol that is a favorite to pack on the trail and the hunt.

The back view of the 1791 Gunleather M3 Tanker Holster. The holster is quite comfortable to wear and it stays out of the way when your handgun is not needed but keeps it handy just in case.

After testing the 1791 Gunleather M3 Tanker Holster I found it to be very comfortable and well made. It also is extremely easy to draw from in a seated position such as a vehicle or even a tractor on the farm.
