A proper gun belt is nothing to be taken lightly.
Any old dress belt is certainly a poor choice compared to the right choice.
I got the chance to field test an all American made Bigfoot Gun Belt and here is how well it performed.
When some new concealed or open carriers first get in the game they head over to their belt drawer. They root around and pick out whatever random belt that may work. The next thing that happens is poor belt performance and uncomfortable carry. What is needed is a purposely built belt that can hold your holstered handgun, extra magazines and whatever extra gear without dragging on the ground. A dress belt will never suit that purpose no matter how hard you try.
That is where a proper gun belt like the Bigfoot Gun Belts Steel Core Tactical Belt comes into play. It is made of dual layers of ultra strong nylon webbing. Inside of the belt is a flexible steel core.
How tough is this belt anyway? Well if you held the belt by the Velcro end and swung it like a whip I am certain the buckle would leave quite an impact on an adversary. Of course this belt is not for bar fights but for carrying your load on your hip.
My 34″ waist took the size medium belt. This belt has a tactical look but also a squared away sharp image. Below you can see a Glock 20 Pistol and two loaded mags in the Alien Gear Drop Leg Holster. Note the Bigfoot belt has zero sag due to it’s ultra tough construction. Weight is certainly not a problem with this very stiff belt that keeps everything riding where it should be. In my testing I found that this great belt is not only extremely comfortable but will also pack anything I attach to it well. It just plain stays in place where you adjust it to and no matter what the load is.
The Bigfoot Gun Belts Steel Core Tactical Belt has everything it takes to be a perfect gun belt and a great heavy duty belt to keep your pants up during strenuous work and play. Be sure to check them out at the Bigfoot Gun Belts website for this belt and other great American made belt products.
