The Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, Ohio is a must-see destination. From black powder equipment to an actual working museum they have it all.

The Log Cabin Shop opened in 1940 and soon became the black powder supplier to hunters, re-enactors, and target shooters. Founder Wes Kindig did a great job and now his sons Dan and Rick continue the great black powder legacy.

When visiting the shop, you are transported back to a distant time in history. Black powder guns hang on the wall. Tomahawks, knives, and leather-working products are ready to be purchased. Everything you can think of associated with traditional black powder firearms is there. Yes even black powder is for sale there too. They are one of a few retailers that now carry the permits in the area to sell black powder.

You can even pick your own gun parts to build your own black powder rifle. You can pick from a large selection of beautiful stock wood ready to be crafted into a new family heirloom. There are plenty of black powder guns to buy too.

Then there are used books. The upper level of the store is loaded with books for sale. There also is another room just past the museum loaded with even more books about guns, hunting, history, you name it. Many are now out of print.
