Can a bullet be spun on the ice?
It certainly has been done and this time with a rifle.
Witness a 7.62mm bullet go for a spin out on the ice.
YouTuber DYLANLEW2008 shared a video that in the beginning looks not very interesting. A man fires what appears to be a shotgun? (maybe with a rifled chamber adapter for a rifle cartridge or ???) at the ice. Holes are left in the ice but no spinning projectiles from the weapon.
A closer look though brings excitement to the group of onlookers and the shooter. There on the ice is a spinning .30 caliber (7.62mm) rifle bullet. It spins like a top and reportedly had been spinning since the previous shots were made 2-3 minutes earlier. Look at that bullet show off it’s spin to the camera.
While I never would suggest shooting bullets at hard objects such as ice this urban myth is certainly proven true previously also by the T.V. Show MythBusters. Don’t try this at home though or anywhere for that matter. Be safe and watch this video instead.
