A single action revolver deserves a classic style leather holster.

I check out a great 1791 Gunleather holster that is perfectly made for your favorite old school style revolver.

For my birthday this year I decided I needed a .22 caliber single action revolver once again in my life. What I adopted ended up being a new Ruger Super Wrangler. Well, now I needed the proper holster for such a fun shooter. My friends over at 1791 Gunleather had the perfect match. Let’s look at what they say about their Single Action Holster:

Our Single Action Holster combines old world
leather craftsmanship with the highest quality
leather and modern production techniques to
provide a fully featured SA holster. Designed to be
fully ambidextrous, the SA holster works great in
both cross draw and strong side carry.
The holster is crafted from our 100% American
certified Steer-Hide leather, which gives it a
timeless look and the construction to back it up.
It is also equipped with an ambidextrous safety
strap that works to keep your firearm firmly in
place. This is the 5.5″ version.

Right away check out that 100% American certified Steer-Hide leather is impressive and made for a long holster life.

The fully adjustable hardware is reversible allowing a fully ambidextrous holster. This allows use on the left or right hand hip. Brilliant!

The 1791 Gunleather Single Action Holster has very heavy duty stitching. Choose the belt loops on either side of the holster for your preferred left or right handed carry. I really like the ambidextrous option.

Here is a close up of the previously mentioned heavy duty stitching. That is certainly made for many years of use on the hard trail or around the homestead.

The 1791 Gunleather Single Action Holster fits the Ruger Super Wrangler like a glove. Right out of the shipping package there was no need for any fitting. It is snug with no rattle.

While testing out the 1791 Gunleather Single Action Holster I enjoyed the heavy duty construction and the perfect fit. The holster also rode at the right level on my belt while afield and doing chores around our poultry coops where predators also look for a free meal. Better to pack your heat and not need it at the moment than forget it and wish you had it!

I highly recommend the 1791 Gunleather Single Action Holster and I look forward to many years of use with it in the unforgiving outdoors and of course on the range.
